Orthodontics Payment Options
When you consider the benefits of orthodontic treatment, a beautiful smile is an investment that can last a lifetime. It's our mission to provide you with high-quality, affordable treatment that fits your budget.
The cost of orthodontic treatment varies widely depending on the type of appliances chosen, the severity of the orthodontic problem, and the estimated length of treatment time. On your consultation appointment you will be given a detailed quotation and a breakdown of our available payment options. Most treatments range in price from €2000 to €4000 depending on the case. Our price guidelines can be found here. Interest-free flexible payment plans are available to help spread the cost of treatment. In most cases an initial deposit of 30% is paid on the day treatment commences and the balance would be paid in monthly installments over the duration of treatment. If treatment is completed sooner than initially estimated, the balance must be paid in full before orthodontic appliances can be removed. Conversely, if the treatment takes longer than we anticipated, there will be no extra charges. The treatment fee covers all your appliances, routine appointments, the first set of retainers, retainer check appointments for a year, and any observation appointments between early and final treatment. Reasonable fixed appliance breakages are covered by this fee but excessive damage or repeated breakages will accrue an additional cost. There is a fee for replacement or repair of lost or damaged removable appliances or orthodontic retainers. The treatment fees do not include any general or specialized dental treatment, x-rays or extractions needed during and related to orthodontic treatment that are performed outside our office. Tax relief is available at the standard rate on orthodontic fees through the Med 2 scheme. This means that anyone paying income tax in Ireland can claim a refund of 20% on fees paid. Parents or guardians are allowed to claim a refund for their dependent children. Aviva Health insurance members can avail of a 10% discount on all treatments. Family Discounts are also available when several members of the same family attend for treatment. In cases of serious payment delinquency, treatment will be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate patients with temporary difficulties. Our Orthodontic clinic is based in 27 South Anne Street, Dublin 2. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9am to 5pm and late evenings on Tuesday and Thursday 12pm to 8pm. |
