Losing your upper teeth is a difficult time for any patient. We want to find the best way to restore the function and appearance of your teeth as well as your pride. If you have recently lost your teeth or have been missing them for a long time, our job as your dentist is to consider which of many options will give you the best result. The loss of your teeth also results in the loss of bone that used to surround your teeth. The changes in face shape result from the loss of support for the lips and the muscles of the face as the gums shrink. The continued bone loss and change of the height, the width and the volume of the bone make this an ever changing problem to deal with. Remember every patient is unique and every solution is customised to suit.
If you have arrived at the point where you are losing the remainder of your teeth and you have chosen to replace them with a full denture, the initial denture will be fitted the same day that you remove the last teeth. We promise to keep you smiling. Read more
