Why is dental health so important for kids?

A common question we’re asked is “When should I bring my child for their first visit to the dentist?”. As soon as your child’s milk teeth come through, keeping on top of their oral hygiene is really important. Not only does it help keep your child’s teeth in tip-top shape for now, but good dental hygiene practises will go a long way to helping promote healthy teeth in the future, all the way into adulthood too. Regular check-ups are an important part of any good oral health routine for kids, adults and everything in between.

Easter means one thing – chocolate Easter eggs! It’s ok to indulge a little over the Easter break, but try to keep your child’s intake of sugary treats to a minimum. Remember to encourage brushing at least twice a day for at least two minutes. Good oral health habits early in life will help your child enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles.
