Dr Izabela Piotrowska is an experienced dentist and endodontist, working with our community of patients at Smiles Dental Bray.

Training and qualifications

Dr Izabela Piotrowska graduated from Pomeranian University in Poland in 2008. She joined Smiles Dental Bray in 2010, where she has been able to gain experience in general dentistry over the last 13 years. In the years since graduation, Izabela has maintained an ongoing commitment to continuous professional development with a special interest in endodontics (root canal treatment).

Her interest and passion for endodontics encouraged her to enter the prestigious Microscopic Endodontics course in Warsaw in 2018. The skills achieved allowed her to provide endodontic treatment with the use of high magnification. In 2019, Izabela undertook advanced specialist training in endodontology at King’s College London Dental Institute. Subsequently, in 2021 Izabela was awarded her Master in Endodontics from Chester University, England.

Since achieving her master’s, Izabela has been specialising in endodontics and accepting referrals from her colleagues. She is committed to provide professional and quality endodontics while using an evidence-based approach and contemporary techniques. Recently, Izabela has decided to expand her skills and explore the field of facial aesthetics. She completed a botulinum toxin training course to focus on treatment of bruxism as well as offering anti-wrinkle therapy.

Dr Greg Cullen is a dentist working with Smiles Dental, providing a range of treatments including prosthodontics, teeth straightening and restorative dentistry.

Training and qualifications

Dr Greg Cullen B.D.S graduated in 2005 from Queens University Belfast.

 Greg completed his vocational training year in Edinburgh, then worked for three years in Derry in general practice before spending a year in Australia bringing dentistry to the rural communities of Northern Queensland.

Greg spent the next five years working in the NHS and private practice in Manchester. Here he honed his skills in prosthodontics, achieving a Certificate in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry from the University of Central Lancashire before moving back to Ireland and joining Smiles Dental in 2015.

Treatments offered

Greg has a varied interest in many fields of dentistry including short term orthodontics (six month smiles) and treating anxious patients. He hopes to advance his enthusiasm in dental implants in the coming years.

Training and qualifications

Dr. David Hone was born and raised in Dublin. He qualified in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1990. After completing his internship, he returned to study dentistry at Trinity College Dublin, graduating with an Honours Degree in 1994.

He went on to complete further training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the UK, receiving Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons London in both dental surgery and general surgery in 1997. He then undertook a three-year Specialist Orthodontic Training Program at Guy’s Hospital, London, completing it in 2002. That same year, he was awarded Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Hone worked as a specialist and tutor in orthodontics at St. James’s Hospital and the Dublin Dental Hospital from 2002 to 2006. He later established and ran his own successful orthodontic practice before joining the Smiles Dental Swords team in early 2020.

Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Hone remains up to date with advances in orthodontic techniques and enjoys mentoring younger clinicians.

Treatments offered

He offers a full range of orthodontic treatments for both children and adults and has a particular interest in TAD-supported orthodontics and interceptive orthodontics. He finds orthodontics deeply satisfying, especially the opportunity to help patients achieve the smiles they want and deserve.

Outside of work, Dr. Hone enjoys hiking, golf, and tennis in his free time, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Training and qualifications

Dr Angelina Deyanova graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. During her studies, Angelina expanded her skills by completing two Erasmus+ programs in CEU San Pablo, Madrid and Wroclaw Medical University in Poland, where she gained further experience with pediatric patients and was able to develop her fluency in Spanish and Polish.

Angelina has a master’s degree in General Dentistry as well as postgraduate traineeship experience in the University of Valencia, where she developed a passion for periodontology and oral medicine. Angelina is popular with our patient community at Smiles Dental in Dundrum, and her kindness and patience makes her a valued member of our team.

BDS, MSc Periodontology, Curriculum Implantology

Training and qualifications

Dr Arkan Al-Qudsi graduated with a BDS degree from the University of Tuebingen, Germany, in 2007. After seven years of general practice in Germany, he developed a strong focus on periodontology, dental implants and surgical dentistry.

Dr Arkan completed the two-year Curriculum in Oral Implantology with the German Society of Implantology (DGI) and was awarded his diploma. He is also a certified laser safety officer, qualified in the use of dental lasers for root canal therapy, gum treatments and surgical procedures.

In 2025, after three years of postgraduate training, Dr Al-Qudsi achieved his Master of Science (MSc) in Periodontology with distinction. This advanced qualification underpins his evidence-based approach to periodontal and implant care.
