Dr Niamh Roe
Dr Niamh Roe trained at the Dublin Dental Hospital, Trinity College Dublin. Originally from County Meath, Niamh is known for her friendliness, kindness, patience and gentle touch when dealing with patients in pain or those who are extremely nervous. Niamh has a special interest in restorative dentistry such as fillings, crowns and root canal treatments. Further training has helped Niamh to keep up to date with all the new techniques to ensure painless, quality dentistry.
Dr Carla Navarro Milla
Dr Carla Navarro qualified from University of Valencia, Spain, in 2011. She then dedicated one year to being a volunteer dentist in an NGO and has worked in well-known practices in Spain and Ireland. She has an enthusiastic approach to dental care and likes to be up-to-date with the latest developments in dentistry. She has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry, minimally invasive procedures and adhesive techniques. She has attended many multidisciplinary courses and workshops during the years.
Dr Navarro has achieved a great capacity for listening and communication when it comes to advising patients on their oral health and preventive measures. In a relaxed environment her goal is to provide the highest levels of quality and service in the areas of dental care. In her free time, Dr Navarro loves to Flamenco dance and travel.
Dr Chloe Kassis-Crowe
Dr Chloe Kassis-Crowe was born in Chicago and grew up in Dublin. She qualified from Trinity College Dublin, where she was Dental School Convenor and the Faculty of Health Sciences Representative in the Student’s Union. She also won the IDA Tony Costello Award for best undergraduate research project while at college.
Dr Kassis-Crowe came back from Germany in 2011 to work for Smiles Dental South Anne Street. She specialises in aesthetic dentistry, completing her Masters in the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Dr Kassis-Crowe focuses on a gentle, natural and conservative approach to restoring your smile. She is certified for both the Smiles Dental and Enlighten Whitening Treatments. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially white fillings and veneers while educating patients on how to maintain good oral health. Dr Kassis-Crowe loves to travel, sail, ski, dance and enjoys practicing her language skills with international patients as she speaks French, Italian and German.
Virag Horvath Detre
Virag began working as a receptionist for Smiles Dental Swords assisting new and existing patients with bookings, queries and their treatment plans. In April 2016 Virag became the Practice Manager of Smiles Dental Grand Canal Square. Virag may be your first point of contact with us and will ensure a positive acquaintance from the beginning of your Smiles Dental experience.
Dr M Shariff Naayar
Before joining Smiles Dental Dr Nayyar worked full time private practice of oral surgery in Clane General Hospital in Kildare. He also spent time working in Aut Even Hospital Kilkenny for oral surgery under general anesthesia.
He has have been appointed to the Panel of Examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for MFDS Part A, B and C and Membership in Surgical Dentistry (M Surg Dent RCSEd). Dr Naayar has been involved in the in the clinical teaching of medical and dental students of Trinity college Dublin, who visit the St James’s Hospital.
Dr Nayyar brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the Smiles Dental team.
Dr Dimche Jordanov
Dr Dimche Jordanov was a born in Veles, Macedonia. He graduated from the University of Medicine Plovdiv (Bulgaria) in 2010 with a Masters of Dental Medicine qualification. Dr Jordanov spent three years in Bulgaria in general practice as a dentist before he moved to Ireland. He continues his professional development and has a particular interest in aesthetic dentistry. Dr Jordanov also has special interest in endodontic, oral surgery and implantology. Dr Jordanov is fluent in the following languages: Macedonian, Bulgarian, Bosnian, Serbo-Croatian and English.
Dr. Laura Dunne
Dr Laura Dunne is from Dublin and graduated from the Dublin Dental Hospital in Trinity College in 2012. After graduation Laura worked in post-graduate training roles in London. This included oral surgery roles and general practice, she then returned to Ireland in 2016. Laura completed her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties exams for the Royal College of Surgeons England (MJDF RCS Eng) during her time in the UK.
Laura enjoys all types of restorative dentistry, especially fillings and root canal treatment. Outside of dentistry Laura enjoys travelling and many types of arts and crafts including dressmaking.
Oonagh is originally from Cork and qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2013. She was the winner of the Best Community Oral Health Project 2013. Oonagh enjoys interacting with patients and teaching them about oral hygiene.
Dr Philip Christie
Dr Philip Christie has over thirty years’ experience in general dentistry, periodontology and form and function. Philip has a keen interest in general wellness and prevention of disease. Philip has also written and published a very successful book about the first behavioural manual in dental care named “Something To Chew On: A Mouth Map To Health”. Philip is currently completing a Masters in Psychotherapy dealing with the patient/dentist relationship and the problems of fear and anxiety in the dental surgery. Philip also provides short-term orthodontics (Six Months Smiles) and selected implant cases. Philip provides nervous patient consultations also.
