Located beside the Pavilions Shopping Centre (beside Wright’s Café), Smiles Dental Swords is a spacious, four-surgery clinic that continues to promote the high standards of patient care and quality treatments our patients expect. The clinic is run by hand picked dental professionals using the latest in dental technology.

Led by Practice Manager Catherine Frizzell, Smiles Dental Swords offers our established values of exceptional patient care, flexible opening hours and all round dedication to excellence. The clinic covers all aspects of dentistry, from routine check-ups to complex oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and everything in between. We also accept all PRSI & private patients. We also have an oral surgeon on our team capable of handling the most complex cases.

Dentist Swords Dublin: We are located at The Plaza across the street from the side entrance of Pavilions Shopping Centre right next to Wrights Café Bar. Parking is available at The Plaza underground car park and in Pavilion Shopping Centre. We are near the 33, 33B, 41, 41C, 43, 102 and Swords Express bus stops. Our clinic is wheelchair accessible.

Dr Dennis and his assistant were amazing, I felt so welcome and comfortable! Consultations were fast and explained so well. When they work on you, they explain what’s happening so you are brought along through the treatment and it makes you feel very relaxed. The end results were so good and u feel so confident.

Dr. Hone was born and raised in Dublin and qualified from The Royal College of Surgeons In Ireland in Medicine in 1990. After completing his Internship, Dr. Hone returned to College to study Dentistry, qualifying with an Honors Degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1994.

He went on to train in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the UK, where He achieved the Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons London Award in both – Dental Surgery and General Surgery – in 1997. Dr. Hone then began a three year Specialist Orthodontic Training Program at Guys Hospital London, completing his Specialist Orthodontic Training in 2002. At the same year, He was awarded a Membership in Orthodontics from Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Dr. Hone worked at St James Hospital Orthodontic Unit as a Specialist and was a Tutor in Orthodontics in the Dublin Dental Hospital from 2002 to 2006. He then worked in his own practice before joining the Smiles Dental Swords team in early 2020.

Dr. David Hone is part of the Specialist Orthodontist List of the Dental Council of Ireland and is a member of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland.

Geenan Alrubae qualified with honour degree BDS from University of Baghdad and College of Dentistry. She has worked in general dentistry in Baghdad, Abu Dhabi and Dublin. Geenan holds a certificate from the American Academy of continuing Medical Education. She also undertook Dental training and Skill Evaluation from American Safety And Health Institute. She has conferred membership with Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Geenan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. In her spare time she likes cycling, astrology, numerology and cooking.

Dr Liam O’Sullivan qualified from University College Cork, (NUI) in 1981 and practiced in the UK in general practice for a number of years. On returning to Ireland, he set up a private practice in 1990, offering routine, advanced restorative, cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. This included the taking of continuing professional education courses in all of these areas including post-graduate studies in Trinity College Dublin.The greatest problem facing the general dentist is the cosmetic/aesthetic replacement of lost or very damaged teeth. Therefore, a fascination with the possibilities offered in the use of dental implants to permanently replace missing teeth took hold in 2004. “This emerging area of dentistry can provide solutions and aesthetic results that could only be dreamed of when I first qualified.” There followed a series of courses in Europe, culminating in studies for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry, at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London. Liam has been working with Smiles Dental at Waterloo Road, since 2011.

Dr Ernesto Bracamonte graduated from the Central University of Venezuela in 2008 with a degree in private and hospital dentistry. The following year, he attained a postgraduate diploma in oral surgery from the University of Carabobo. In 2013, Ernesto relocated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to work as a resident in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Paulistano Hospital. Seven years later, he obtained an MSc degree in Dental Medicine in Porto, Portugal. In 2022, Ernesto joined our team as well as the team at Smiles Dental Swords. He’s dedicated to supporting patients and to caring for your oral health.
