Gate Dental Clinic features in the latest Connaught Tribune thanks to Dr Brian Delgado’s recent voluntary work for Chernobyl Children International. This amazing charity brings over 100 young people to Ireland each summer for a four-week holiday with host families. These annual trips are designed to boost the children’s physical and mental health while giving them a break from their environment.
Dr Delgado got in touch with the charity through his wife Sarah to offer free dental care to the young visitors. Following the 1986 nuclear disaster, access to quality healthcare is still limited so both Gate Dental Clinic and Brian were keen to support these children as much as possible.
Brian donated 6 hours of his time to treat six of the visiting teens at our Galway city practice. While two of the teens had very healthy teeth, another two required extensive work.
